DJANGO UNCHAINED: DJANGO ACTION FIGURE CHAIN YANKED!!

If you had plans on running out to the toy store to get a Django and Broomhilda action figure, guess again!

Django Unchained has deemed so popular, Weinstein Company decided to do an action figure line. The characters played by Christoph Waltz, Jamie Foxx, Kerry Washington, and Samuel L. Jackson would have lined store shelves until advocacy groups called to boycott the dolls.

According to TMZ, the Django action figures have officially been discontinued. TMZ says advocacy groups like Al Sharpton’s National Action Network and Project Islamic Hope spoke out against the figurines. And now because of the issues surrounding the toy line, Weinstein Company brought production to an utterly ominous standstill.

HipHollywood reached out to Al’s National Action Network for comment, and we are waiting for a final statement.
