Lady In Red: Michelle Obama’s Dress Shuts The Inaugural Ball Down!

Barack Obama may have just been officially re-elected as President of the United States, but, at last night’s Inaugural Ball, it was his wife that took center stage!

America waited with baited breath to see FLOTUS reveal her dress choice.  Ever since her first Inaugural Ball (in a glittering white Jason Wu gown fit for a queen), Michelle Obama has distinguished herself as First Lady of both our nation and of style in general.  That being said, expectations were high….and Michelle did not disappoint!

The second time was a charm for designer Jason Wu, as the First Lady chose him once again – this time with in RED HOT floor length creation custom-made of ruby chiffon and velvet.  According to fashion trade magazine Women’s Wear Daily, Wu had no idea he would receive the honor of dressing Mrs. Obama…TWICE!  They tweeted:

The public response to FLOTUS’s dress choice was so crazy that “Michelle Obama broke Twitter” became a trending topic.  Seriously.

But, with true First Lady class, Michelle deflected all the attention from herself back to her powerful hubby.  Ignoring the internet sensation that she created, Michelle tweeted this last night:
