Around the time that his album Channel Orange was set to be released, Frank Ocean revealed that he had cut a record with hip-hop legend Nas called “No Such Thing As White Jesus.” That song was unfortunately lost forever after after the producer, Hit-Boy, lost the recording session on his hard drive.
Fans who were disappointed to hear that there was no such thing as “No Such Thing As White Jesus,” will be happy to know that the two musical geniuses may still work together again in the future!
At least if Nas has anything to do with it. In an interview with MTV, Nas revealed that he was already working on a new album; and when asked about possible collaborations, Frank Ocean’s name came up. Nas said:
“I would love to reconnect with Frank Ocean as far as that’s concerned, when you talk about that song.”
Even though he’s a veteran in the hip-hop game, Nas revealed that he still gets nervous when working on a new project:
”I’m an open canvas, a clear canvas and an excited painter with a shaky hand. Not because of bad nerves, but because of excitement.”
