Ok, the Baltimore Ravens won the Super Bowl last night, but it was Beyoncé that shut New Orleans down! Literally.
No matter what team you were rooting for, Queen Bey definitely lived up to expectations! Her halftime performance was so high energy that it seemingly caused a 34 minute power outage at the Super Dome!
From the moment she strutted down the stage (seriously, Beyoncé needs to give lessons for that strut!) it was clear to all that she owned it! Her 12-minute performance started off with a medley of hits “Crazy In Love,” “Baby Boy,” and then segued into an old Destiny’s Child classic, “Independent Women.” Beyoncé brought out Kelly and Michelle to help her sing the latter, effectively feeding our excitement of their !
No Beyoncé show would be complete without a “Single Ladies” rendition, and after all these years, I still get chills to see her OWN that video choreography (“Where my ring at?!”).
She slowed things down with her closing performance of “Halo,” where she tested the capabilities of a good weave and a good costume! Shout outs to Beyoncé’s hair team, and to American designer Rubin Singer, who designed Beyoncé’s show stopping leather bodysuit!
