Rihanna and Katy Perry Break Up

Remember the good ol’ days when Rihanna and Katy Perry were BFFs and used to sit in each other’s laps at the awards shows, and go on vacations together?

Well, media outlets have been reporting that the two have been quietly drifting apart for a while now (every since Rihanna started cozying up with Chris Brown again), and now it seems like the break up is official.  Perry is not supportive of Rihanna’s renewed romance with Breezy, and speculations that she was purposefully distancing herself from Rih Rih were CONFIRMED at the 2013 Grammy Awards, where the two starlets didn’t appear to even know each!

According to sources, in view of Perry and Rihanna’s past relationship, Grammy officials had originally seated them together.  However Perry requested that the seating arrangement be changed, and asked that she and her boyfriend John Mayer be seated  far away from Rihanna.

- on opposite sides of the room…Awkward.

While neither Perry nor Rihanna have said anything negative about each other publicly, the message is still pretty clear.  So sad when friends break up!
