[Listen] Drake Drops New Freestyle, “5AM In Toronto”

Drake’s infectious ode to making it out of the middle class, “Started From the Bottom”, just went gold and is currently sitting at #6 on the Billboard charts.  With a third solo album scheduled to drop later on this year, Drizzy heightens the anticipation by following that single up with a sequel of sorts to his 2010 classic “9AM In Dallas” freestyle; this time calling it “5AM In Toronto.”

Produced by Boi-1da and Vinylz, “5AM In Toronto” is everything that “Started From the Bottom” isn’t – a lyrical showcase aiming shots at Drake wannabes.  Or as he put it, cats whose songs “sound like Drake featuring Drake.”

The freestyle won’t be featured on Drake’s upcoming album, Nothing Was the Same.  Consider it a “gift” from an artist who clearly had some things to get off his chest.  Listen to/download the track below and let us know what you think of it!
