Lil Wayne may given a ridiculously
ratchet funny court deposition, but it looks like Quincy Jones III is getting the last laugh.
Karma struck Weezy hard, as the court deposition he originally gave (as a big F.U. to the opposing defense team in his lawsuit against Jones), ended up costing him the case.
As you remember, Lil Wayne had a couple health of scares about a week ago, where he experienced seizure-like symptoms on board an airplane…twice. Afterwards, he was ordered by his doctor to stay off of airplanes. That’s bad enough as it is, but what’s even worse is that one of his episodes occurred on the day he was supposed to go to trial! Obviously, Weezy was a no-show and, in his absence, his lawyer was forced to show the jury Wayne’s court deposition.
It was a wrap from there!
Based on the great impression that Weezy DID NOT make on tape, the jury threw out his lawsuit against Quincy Jones III AND ordered the rapper to pay Jones $2,195,000, according to the term of Jones’ countersuit against Weezy.
Now, Lil Wayne made $27 million last year, so clearly he can afford it. But still, it’s got to hurt on principle! The bright side for us is, hopefully Jones will now be able to release the documentary, since the court stopped Wayne’s block on it.
Makes you want to see what all the fuss was about.
