J Lo Gets Hotel Maid Fired For Autograph Request

Jennifer Lopez may have played a maid in the movie Maid In Manhattan, but she definitely ain’t got time for real maids in real life!

A  maid at the luxury hotel Melia Duesseldorf found out this the hard way when she was fired from her job because she asked Lopez for an autograph.  According to sources, Lopez was a guest at the hotel while performing in Dusseldorf for her European tour.  Hotel maid, Pray Dodaj, spotted her and approached the superstar for an autograph.

Dodaj had this to say:

“I cleaned her floor.  And I am an incredibly big fan so I took all my courage and rang the bell to get an autograph.  But I was rejected by two assistants at the door.  A day later the cleaning company that employed me at the hotel called and said that Ms. Lopez had complained.  I was fired right there on the phone!  Because of an autograph!”

Damn!  She didn’t even get the autograph either!  The hotel director of the Melia Dusseldorf explained that it didn’t even matter if Dodaj got Lopez’s autograph or not, because “she acted contrary to the contractual arrangements and disturbed the privacy of [Melia Dusseldorf] guests.”

I’ll admit that Dodaj was doing too much by ringing Lopez’s hotel room.  But c’mon J.Lo, getting her fired from an obviously low-paying (and probably much needed) job just because you’re a celebrity and she’s annoying…seems a little harsh.

At any rate, guess that maid won’t be making THAT mistake again though!
