LA Reid Departs The X Factor; ‘Time To Stop Doing The Me Show’

In the seemingly continuous game of X Factor musical chairs – LA Reid has confirmed that he will not return for season 3 of the show.

Reid confirmed his departure during an interview with Access Hollywood saying, “I have a company [Epic Records] to run that I’ve kind of neglected,” he said. “I have a huge responsibility to a roster of artists, and it’s kind of time for me to stop doing ‘the me’ show and get back to doing ‘the them’ show.”

When asked about any personal reasons that may have been a factor in his departure from judging, Reid was quick to deny any trouble. “I love Simon,” he insisted. “We have a great relationship. We have fun together, we talk, we laugh, we do bad things. We’re friends.”

There is no word yet on who might replace Reid when he leaves, but we suggest to keep it a veteran in the game. Any ideas?!
