Naomi Campbell Mugged In Paris

Supermodel veteran Naomi Campbell was recently mugged in one of the “most romantic cities in the world!”

Campbell was violently attacked in Paris while attempting to hail a cab.  According to multiple sources, as Campbell was waiting, a group of thugs cornered, “knocked over, and robbed her” in the street.  As one source stated:

“It was terrifying. Naomi believes the assailant had been watching her, casing her out, and waited for a moment to strike when she was alone. She was attacked in the street as she hailed a cab, and robbed.  Her leg was injured as she was violently pushed to the ground. She was understandably very upset and shaken up.”

Campbell was taken to the hospital, where it was discovered that she suffered from a torn ligament.  Upon hearing the news, Campbell’s  billionaire boyfriend, Vladimir Doronin, immediately flew her by private jet to Vail, Colorado, where she was treated by one of the top orthopedic surgeons in the world. (One of the many benefits of having a billionaire boyfriend I’m sure.)

Neither Campbell nor her reps have not publicly commented on the incident, with the exception of a one line statement Campbell made:

“I am sorry, I do not talk to press, but I am fine.”

However, since Campbell has been spotted in a wheelchair and crutches, her injuries must have been substantial.

It is not yet known what Campbell’s attackers stole from her, but sources believe they were targeting expensive jewelry she may have been wearing.  French police are currently investigating the incident.  But in the meantime, sources say that Campbell’s boyfriend has quietly stepped up security around her (another reason why having a billionaire boyfriend pays off).
