Sweet Life: Kandi Burruss Is Engaged!

Life sure is sweet for RHOA star Kandi Burruss! The Grammy-winning songwriter is ENGAGED to her line producer “boo,” Todd Tucker! Burruss confirmed the news via Twitter by responding to a fan who had heard rumors to that effect:

Fans of RHOA know (and like) Tucker from the reality show. He and Burress met in Africa while filming Season 5 last year, and we have watched their romance steadily grow on camera ever since!

According to US Weekly, Tucker popped the question on New Year’s Day (the day after Burruss’ fellow castmate NeNe Leakes announced her engagement!), during a party at the couple’s home…but not before asking Burruss’ 10-year-old daughter Riley for her permission! (Now that’s a good man right there!)

With Riley’s blessing, Tucker got down on one knee and proposed to the love of his life in the presence of a group of their friends.

Burruss, who has been engaged before to the late Ashley “A.J” Jewell, says she was “totally surprised” by the proposal, but in a good way of course:

“I used to make jokes with my friends that I [was] part of the Forever Single Club. That’s what I said before, but now I’m totally different.”

It’s obvious that Burruss and Tucker work well together! The two have already narrowed down their wedding to one of two dates, and have planned to have more children together after their nuptials.

They haven’t decided yet whether or not they’ll film the wedding for Real Housewives of Atlanta though.
